Thanks for this. It succeeded in interesting me in the book. This seems along the lines of Reich’s neo freudian theory of fascism. But his writing is rather opaque and clinical.

The only other real psychology of fascism I’ve really delved into is via Deleuze and Guittari and they have their own... foibles. Or I guess Adorno, but that’s kind of tangential and more society-framed.

It’s really true, most of the good books on the subject approach it externally, historically, politically. (Though Rise and Fall of the 3rd Reich does that very well).

Guess I’ll have to track it down.
